Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Librarian to join the University Library "St. Kliment Ohridski". The ideal candidate will support academic and research needs by managing library resources, assisting users, and contributing to collection development.

You will work closely with faculty, students, and researchers to provide access to print and digital resources and promote information literacy.

Responsibilities

- Provide reference and research assistance to students and faculty.
- Maintain and update catalog records and library database systems.
- Organize and manage physical and digital collections.
- Deliver instruction sessions on information literacy and research tools.
- Assist in the development of digital resources and online access.
- Monitor usage of resources and recommend acquisitions.
- Contribute to outreach programs, exhibitions, and university events.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proficiency in library database systems and cataloging standards (e.g. MARC, RDA).
- Familiarity with digital library platforms and tools.
- Strong communication and user service skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Knowledge of academic research methods and citation styles.
